Washington Grove and its residents, in concert with Montgomery County and Maryland, are taking steps to significantly reduce our carbon footprint. The Washington Grove Sustainability Committee helps the Town and its residents fight climate change. We educate and advocate for energy efficiency, electrification of homes and transportation, enrollment in community solar, and other steps in support of a brighter future.
The Committee is seeking a consultant grant writer to apply for funding in support of our efforts. This work would be ad hoc as grant opportunities are identified. Terms for any identified projects will be agreed to in advance, based upon the estimated time requirement. We anticipate applying for up to five grants in the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2023.
You should have demonstrable interest in sustainability issues. Strong oral and written communication skills as well as experience with Microsoft Office are required. Grant-writing experience is preferred. You will work remotely. If you live in the DC metro area, there may be occasional visits to Washington Grove.
