Chairman John McClelland called the meeting to order at 7:42 p.m. In attendance were Commissioners Darrell Anderson, Vicki Andrews, Bob Evans, John McClelland and Bud O’Connor.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes for December were approved as corrected.
Town Council Report
Darrell Anderson reported that the Historic Preservation Commission ordinance was passed and that the Commission has been given two (2) years to develop guidelines outlining how they will interact with the Planning Commission.
Darrell Anderson reported that the Town survey will be starting with Block 17 and, if funds are still available, following with Blocks 12 and 14.
Darrell Anderson also reported that the Town Council passed an ordinance changing the Planning Commission from seven members to five members plus an alternate. The Planning Commission has recommended that the Town Council liason act as the alternate Commission member.
Building Permit Report
John McClelland reported that a permit for an addition had been granted for the Hodges property at 213 Grove Avenue.
John McClelland also initiated a discussion regarding the possible subdivision of the property at 342 Ridge Road in Washington Grove Hills. Issues to be investigated are the property’s width dimensions, setback requirements and the definition of frontage for the rear property. John McClelland indicated that the property’s potential owner/developer, Nancy Hsu, may attend the February Planning Commission meeting.
