Chairman John McClelland called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In attendance were Commissioners Darrell Anderson, Peggy Ebner, Bob Evans, John McClelland and Bud O’Connor.

Approval of Minutes

The minutes for August were approved as corrected.

Commercial Corner

The Commissioners discussed a request by Reverend Jones of the Calvary Community Church to occupy space at the Commercial Corner. It was agreed that the Town Ordinances do not allow this type of activity at the Commercial Corner.

Building Permits

A discussion regarding carports resulted in the following motion: John McClelland moved to change part a) to read "the structure does not exceed permitted lot coverage," eliminate current part b) and part c) will become part b) of Section 3.326 of the Town Ordinances. He also moved to amend Section 9 under Minimum Set Back Requirements to read, "Accessory Building and Structure". The motion passed unanimously. The following permits were approved:

  • 12 Circle » fence
  • 311 Locust Lane » shed

Report from Town Council

Darrell Anderson reported that Town Attorney Bill Roberts would have a draft copy of the church ordinance revisions ready for the Town Council meeting on September 8. He also reported that a move or tow notice was put on the illegally parked dump truck at 104 Maple Road. When the vehicle is moved, the town will erect a fence behind that property.
