Chairman John McClelland called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. In attendance were Commissioners Darrell Anderson and Peggy Ebner. Also in attendance were town residents Georgette Cole, Jenny Rabinowitz, Carolyn Sanford and property owner Mel Cakmak.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes for July were approved unanimously.
The following building permits were discussed and voted on by the Planning Commission:
- 202 Grove Avenue » Sunroof addition and deck plans were returned to resident requiring more information (height and lot set back distances). HPC review also required.
Public Improvement Agreement for 350 and 352 Ridge Road
Property owner and developer Mel Cakmak requested the return of a $5,000 cash bond as part of the Town’s Public Improvement Agreement for 350 Ridge Rd. Chairman McClelland reviewed the terms of the Public Improvement document signed by Mr. Cakmak and pointed out the following items that require completion before the bond would be returned:
- All utilities need to be installed underground, and
- Placement of permanent marker monuments on all four property corners.
Georgette Cole stated that the property markers for her residence were never installed and yet he bond money was returned to the builder. She would like to be sure that the Town is vigilantly enforcing all PIAs.
