Mayor Cole called the Budget Work Session to order at 7:40 p.m. In attendance were Audrey Maskery, Joli McCathran, Carolyn Rapkievian, Bill Robertson, Greg Silber and David Young. Also present were Treasurer Mary Challstrom, Maintenance Supervisor Steve Werts, Planning Commission Chair Charlie Challstrom and resident Ann Briggs.
Approval of Agenda
Bill Robertson moved, Audrey Maskery seconded that the agenda be approved. Vote: 6-0.
Budget Work Session
Mayor Cole asked for questions about the 1st draft of the FY 2015 budget. She complimented Treasurer Mary Challstrom for her hard work on this document. The Mayor and Council discussed the proposed FY 2015 budget. The discussion included the Maintenance Shop, equipment for maintenance, gasoline, the Town website, taxes, tennis court watering, Town Office computer, Cherry Avenue stabilization, Town Attorney costs, Railroad Street Improvements plan, street light expenses, property acquisition funds, Program Open Space funds, reflectors for old-style street signs, new-style street signs (reflective), power washing of Town Hall adding more details to the Capital Improvements Program.
Closed Session
Mayor Cole adjourned the Budget Work Session at 9:10 PM. Carolyn Rapkievian moved, David Young seconded that the meeting be closed to the public in order to discuss personnel matters. Vote: 6-0. (Form of Statement for Closing a Meeting filed in Town Office on shelf TO-2)
