HPC members present: Bob Booher, Chair, Mimi Styles, Ed Mroczka, and David Neumann. David Stopak, Liaison to the Town Council was also present. The meeting was called to order by the Chair at 7:30 p.m.

The agenda proposed by the Chairman had been posted on the outside of the door to the Town Hall Meeting Room and was adopted after a few changes by members. David Neumann agreed to take minutes for the meeting. Mimi Styles moved that the minutes of the regular meeting of November 21, 2006 submitted by David Neumann be approved subject to changes requested by members. The motion was adopted unanimously. Members agreed that from now on the approved minutes be sent by email to the Mayor, the Chair of the Planning Commission, and the Town Clerk.

Town Council Report

David Stopak reported on Council actions that would be relevant to the HPC. He explained that there had been an executive session with Attorney William Chen and the Town Attorney Bill Roberts. He explained his and other’s concerns regarding the costs of the litigation for the field. David reviewed the status of the proposed new Cluster Zoning Ordinance and said he would send members the current version of the proposed Ordinance. He discussed the problems with the wording in the Ordinances as recently adopted regarding accessory structures. This, he explained, would be discussed again at the Council Meeting. As to the posting of House histories, David Stopak explained that the Council asked that the HPC review the material submitted to update house histories on the Town Web site.

New HPC Commissioner

Bob Booher reported that he had spoken to Chris Kirtz, and that Chris Kirtz would be stepping down from his membership on the HPC. The members asked the Chair to suggest various names to the Mayor for a new appointment.

Reviews

No building permit, subdivision, or other applications were considered.

Other Business

Archive of Photos of Contributing Structures. Members decided to meet in January to finish the job of collating the photos and putting them into albums for preservation in the Town Archives.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday January 16, 2007 at 7:30 pm.
