If anyone would like to join the next TWG Stormwater Management Committee meeting the details for joining are below. Last month we discussed drainage issues resulting from the heavy rains especially on 4/13/2020. We would like to ask Town residents to report other issues they may have been experiencing from the recent rains. We will also be continuing our work on finalizing our presentation on the critical Stormwater Management issues in our West Woods in preparation for a Zoom meeting with Watershed Planners from Montgomery County and the City of Gaithersburg Stormwater Management team.

Stormwater Issues? Report Before Acting!
BEFORE taking any action, you should bring concerns about standing water and stormwater runoff on Town property to the attention of the Town. Yes, heavy rains have increased the impact of surface water damage around Town. However, except under circumstances immediately affecting their own property, please do not undertake any action before reporting an issue. Well-meaning efforts may solve a problem, but they have created new problems elsewhere – including on your neighbor’s property!
Instead, please contact and discuss with either: the Town Office (301-926-2256), Maintenance Supervisor Steve Werts (301-926-1668) and/or Robert Johnson, Chairman of the Stormwater Management Committee ([email protected]).
