Because of China’s refusal to accept material from the U.S. or any other world markets, we must STOP mixing paper with our other recyclables. Residents are asked to separate the cardboard/mixed paper from the glass, plastic, aluminum and tin. Our Contractor uses split-body trucks so they can load one side with clean cardboard/mixed paper and the other with glass, plastic, aluminum and tin. Do not put ANY recyclables in plastic bags. Plastic bags go in the trash. Residents are encouraged to take their plastic bags to the Giant Food Store or other establishment where bins are provided for recycling. Please make a note of this change and help us comply with our new normal.
