Building Permits

If you are going to erect a building or structure (including fences), make structural alterations to, or move any existing building or other structure, you must first obtain a building permit from the Washington Grove Planning Commission. The Town zoning ordinance governs setbacks, lot coverage, and height. Applications are available at the Town Office at 301-926-2256. The permit fee is $10.00, payable to the Town of Washington Grove. Interior renovations, which involve electrical, plumbing, or load-bearing changes, generally require a County permit. Kudos!

To the Sewing Team, the Snack Team, the T-shirt Team, the Lake Parents, the Scenery Parents, the Grill Sergeants (Nick Suzich & Ken Stricklett) and ALL the parents who helped with a very successful Summer In The Parks program! The children had a great month!
To Dodie Tippens for her tireless efforts at Maple Lake.
Linda Baim and Company for another session of wild and wooly tennis instruction.

Karen Kelly Does It Again.

Thanks to the efforts of many, Summer In The Parks was a huge success again this year. However, the biggest thanks must go to Karen Kelly, our caring, “Energizer Bunny-like” Coordinator. First there’s the advertising, the interviewing, the hiring, the scheduling and the registration. Then, there are supplies, timesheets, Lake Days, snacks and public relations. It starts in November and ends after an all-consuming month in July. Karen was there through all of it. Thank you, Karen, for all that you did for the children of Washington Grove!!
