Chairman John McClelland called the meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. In attendance were Commissioners Darrell Anderson, Vicki Andrews, Bob Evans, John McClelland and Bud O’Connor. Allen Winter was also present.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes for November were approved as corrected.
Master Plan Review
Allen Winter suggested and the Commissioners agreed to note their comments and suggestions on the Master Plan Review draft and submit them to Allen Winter before the next Planning Commission meeting on January 8, 2002. Allen Winter will compile the comments and present them for discussion at the January meeting. It was agreed that the Planning Commission would then present the revised Master Plan to the other town committee representatives for review.
Town Council Report
Darrell Anderson reported that Montgomery County was reopening the issue of the Railroad Bridge. Darrell Anderson agreed to be the Planning Commission representative on this issue. Bud O’Connor also expressed an interest in staying involved in the process.
Darrell Anderson also reported that the Town Council is considering adoption of an ordinance changing the Planning Commission from seven members to five members plus an alternate. As a result, Irene Carrato’s position will remain unfilled at this time.
Darrell Anderson reported that the Town Council is considering including in the Master Plan the discussion of Town borders and Robert’s Oxygen.
Building Permit Report
John McClelland reported that the typographical error in the Code of Ordinances has been corrected in regard to the description of a half story. The code now stipulates that the "opposite exterior walls are not more than two feet above the floor of such story."
