Mayor Cole called the Organizational Meeting of the Town Council to order at 7:32 p.m. In attendance were Councilors Joe Clark, Sylvie Favret, Audrey Maskery, Joli McCathran, Alice Negin and Bill Robertson.
Approval of Agenda:
Joe Clark moved to approve the agenda. Bill Robertson seconded the motion. Mayor Cole added the Election of the Mayor Pro Tem and a Discussion of the Mayor’s Handout to the agenda. Vote: 6-0.
Oath of Office:
Mayor Cole administered the Oath of Office to councilors Joe Clark, Audrey Maskery, Joli McCathran and Alice Negin. The Council elected Joli McCathran to serve as the Mayor Pro Tem. Vote: 6-0.
The new areas of responsibility for the Council are as follows:
- Joe Clark: Planning Commission; Maintenance
- Sylvie Favret: Maple Lake; Safety
- Audrey Maskery: Forestry & Beautification; Memorials
- Joli McCathran: Historic Preservation Commission; Parks & Playgrounds
- Alice Negin: McCathran Hall; Recreation; Website
- Bill Robertson: Contracts; Roads & Walkways; Intergovernmental
Mayor’s Handout:
Mayor Cole and the Council discussed expectations, deadlines, monthly Council Reports, scheduling, vacations and procedures.

Audrey Maskery asked about the delivery of the rocks that will complete the landscaping project on the Center Street side of McCathran Hall. Discussion…
Joe Clark announced the retirement of Officer Diane Tillery (our Montgomery County Police Department liaison). He thinks that the Town should recognize her in the form of a resolution. He will write the resolution before the next meeting. The Clerk suggested that the Town give her a set of history books as well.
