McCathran Hall

Located at the intersection of Chestnut Road and Center Street in the Town of Washington Grove, McCathran Hall serves as the governmental, social and cultural center for the Town.  The Hall is used for town meetings, as well as for dance and musical performances, yoga classes, film showings, the Town’s annual Holiday Show, and the Summer in the Parks camp program.

Rental of the Hall is limited to Town residents; all events held there must be sponsored by one or more residents.  The Hall capacity is 150 in rows, and 100 at tables.  A historic structure, the Hall remains unairconditioned; windows and ceiling fans can be used to create air flow and moderate heat.  For more information about renting the Hall for an event, see the Reserving McCathran Hall section of this page or contact the Town Clerk at 301-926-2256 or [email protected].

Town Office

Located in the lower wing of McCathran Hall, the office is usually open between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, and between 1:00 pm and 4:30 pm.  Town Clerk Kathy Lehman is available to answer your questions about renting the Hall.
