Approval of Minutes
The minutes for October were approved as corrected.
Building Permits
Bud O’Connor presented a permit application for an addition at the Elliott residence at 415 Center Street. Planning Commission approval is pending resubmission of plans showing removal of the optional carport and the optional roof on exterior steps from the basement. Bud O’Connor also reported a building permit for a portico at 12 Center Street had been approved. Bud O’Connor reported approval of a permit to build a “Gettysburg Reverse” home by the Ellis group at 217 Ridge Road. A permit was also approved for an addition of a basement window and step cover at 201 Washington Grove Lane.
Cherry Avenue Illegal Vehicular Access
A discussion was initiated by John McClelland regarding the illegal vehicular access occurring on Cherry Avenue. The only authorized vehicular access on Cherry Avenue is by the property at 108 Ridge Road due to a past agreement between the Chapmans and the Town to utilize the Avenue until such a time that the property be sold. Vicki Andrews moved, Bud O’Connor seconded, that the Planning Commission requests that the Town Council takes appropriate action to eliminate illegal vehicular access on Cherry Avenue. Recommendations include construction of a fence behind 105 Maple Road or a locked gate be installed at Brown Street on Cherry Avenue. In addition, the Planning Commission requests enforcement of Ordinance Article 3, Sections 3, 4 and 5 utilizing appropriate ticketing, fines and impounding of vehicles illegally parked on Cherry Avenue. Vote: 5-0.
