7 January 2003 | Approved: 4 February 2003
Darrell Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. In attendance were Commissioners Vicki Andrews, Darrell Anderson, Bob Evans and Bud O’Connor.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes for December were approved.
Bud O’Connor reported approval of the following building permits:
- 7 Daylily Lane and 5 Daylily lane » 6’6" fence
- 107 Grove Road » replace a chimney
- 207 Grove Road » porch enclosure/addition
Bud O’Connor reported that the HPC is proposing an addendum to the standard HPC building permit application procedure. They propose that for changes to applications that the HPC has already reviewed, if the structure is not contributing (a list of significant homes will be provided to the Planning Commission), the building permit may be confirmed without resubmission to the HPC. However, if it is a contributing structure, the HPC would like to review the changes. The Planning Commission agreed on an interim basis to resubmit building permit changes to the HPC only if the property in question is from the list of contributing structures.
Bud O’Connor reported that a meeting was held on January 4, 2003 to discuss discrepancies on the Subdivision Record Plat and the resubmitted building permit for the WSSC Subdivision. Bud O’Connor, John Compton and John McClelland were in attendance. The Subdivision Record Plat was corrected and the resubmitted building permit was approved as corrected.
Town Council Report
Darrell Anderson reported that the Town Council approved a traffic study in order to investigate the feasibility of changing the Town speed limit. The first of two studies will be conducted in early spring.
