Chairman McClelland called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. In attendance were Commissioners Darrell Anderson, Peggy Ebner, Bob Evans, Bud O’Connor and alternate Joe Clark. Also in attendance were town residents Georgette Cole, Nancy Helme and Ernie Kawasaki.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes for February were approved.
The following building permits were reviewed by the Planning Commission (PC):
217 Ridge Road
Sunroof and deck approved unanimously per Article 7, Section 9.
346 Ridge Road
Fence approved unanimously per Article 7, Section 3.328.
402 Grove Avenue
Side porch enclosure approved unanimously per Article 7, Section 3.141A.
Master Plan Revision
Commissioner Evans presented a review of Section 3 – Transportation. Commissioner Evans introduced the Review Committee’s verbiage for the continued graveling of walkways. The Commissioners discussed the issue and Commissioner O’Connor moved to keep the committee’s original language supporting the continued graveling of walkways with a minor adjustment.
Commissioner Anderson presented a review of Section 6 – Environmental.
The commissioners agreed to continue the Master Plan review as follows:
- April Meeting – Chairman McClelland will present Sections 4 and 5
- Commissioner Ebner will present Sections 8 and 9
Report from Town Council
Commissioner Anderson reported that the applicant for Code Enforcement Officer turned down the Town’s offer but that the Council is continuing the search. The Council discussed adding neighbor notification to the permit process and decided to require permit applicants to post a notice in the front and rear of their house 10 days before the permit application is approved. Commissioner Anderson noted that the Council will be discussing use options for the Commercial Corner.
